<p>Most colleges say they only accept EA students if they feel the students would be accepted RD. I don't think EA would help increase your chances because it's not ED (you're applying early with EA, but that doesn't mean it's your first choice). However, it might save you some money if you like your EA school more than some others.</p>

<p>people who apply early are usually the strongest students.. so yea, harder to get in ea than say regular</p>
<p>Last year the apparent rule for Yale was if you want to go there, apply EA. Look at the numbers for last year. It may change this year since the other shoe dropped in a sense on Harvard and Princeton, but recommendations I have heard suggest if that is your first choice, EA for sure. Dose not hurt you anyway other to exclude another SCEA like Stanford.</p>
