Early Action

For anyone whose submitted their application by November 1st in the past years, when did you get your decision? I'm planning on having everything in to them by November 1st so I want to know when I should accept a decision by!

Thanks :)

I don’t know but I applied last Friday =) Btw, on their website it says that they respond by February.

random: you do math league?

i really wanna find out before feb. so that if i do get in hopefully then i can apply to some more reach schools cuz i’ll already be in to a great school lol!! and no actually, i dont do math league :frowning: math isnt really my thing! also, are you instate?

As an instate student, I believe my decision was to me by December 8th. For some reason I remember the early action deadline being December 1st though…that’s probably just me remembering wrong though.

No, actually you’re right! The deadline is Dec. 1st but people have the chance to submit their applications early because of rolling admissions!

that’s even better if instate students get replies early  I’m an instate, natashashah81.
How long does it usually take to respond if you apply early?

Has anyone heard yet?

I haven’t even sumitted my application in yet.

Yeah, I dont even think that you get an answer back until very late November (if you applied in like early October), but definitely in December. I am about to apply tomorrow once the SAT’s come out, which should get me into the honors program.

How much do you need for the honors program? I have 1350/1600.

Last year, my son submitted his application a few days before Thanksgiving and heard back the day after Christmas - 4-5 weeks I would guess.

I think last year the honors SAT cutoff was 2100/2400, however, I think is is subjective to a point. I know my son was accepted but a few of his friends with siimilar scores but less challenging courses were not.

My daughters did a couple of days before due date and knew by end of December.

Is their EA restrictive?

No, its not.

How about if I sent it on November 3rd; would you guys say I would get a response in December?

I also heard that becuase they accepted so many early applicants last year vs. regular applicants, they are holding back on early responses.

I mean they received everything (transcript, test scores, etc.) on the 3rd.

Augh! That would SUCK. I just want this waiting to be over haha :stuck_out_tongue: Where did you hear that?

^^^^
From multiple sources; a couple of the counselors at my school, and some kids too.

Why, when did you send yours in? If you sent it a long time ago, it would be interesting to see how long its takes for them to respond. What’s the date they received everything from you?

My counselor also said they are holding back becuase they accepted to many good applicants early on while the good ones, or even better ones applied regular, and they couldn’t accept them becuase of space. This really sucks for us.

The date they recieved everything from me was November 9th. Not super early, but I was hoping for a pre-Christmas decision.
