Hi, I plan to take the ACT in October. The deadline for OSU early admission is November 1st. Since the ACT is on the 24th, I most likely won’t have the scores by November 1st. Does this mean I can’t use the scores for early admission? Or can the scores be sent after November 1st. I could use my old ACT score if I have to, but I’m confident I can raise it to increase my chances of getting in. Thank you.
You should make sure the scores are sent directly to OSU from ACT. You’ll do this on the ACT website before the test, otherwise it’ll take even longer to get the scores sent.
They may use the new scores when evaluating your application. It’ll depend on when they actually look at your application since they obviously can’t look at thousands of applicants on the due date.
Tl;dr send in your new scores directly. It can’t hurt you and doesn’t cost anything extra.
Make sure you apply early. You gain no benefit by delaying your application. When your scores are updated, they will be sent directly to OSU and included in your application packet.
