I'm a junior applying to college a year early, and Northwestern's on my list of schools to try. I know it's a shot in the dark, but I think starting college early is the right thing for me. Anyways, do you think it's even worth applying with what I have? (I know either way it'll be a reach, but... an impossible one or what?)

I head a couple clubs, have played piano for 12 years, teach piano to several young students, work a job at a restaurant, am involved in a few advocacy groups (Earth Corps, Acting on AIDS, Human Rights Commission), youth group, soccer, etc.

I have an outstanding counselor rec and excellent teacher recs, and I'm a strong writer, so my essays should be solid. I did well at Harvard SSP, which I hope shows that at least I'm ready for university life/work. I know it's not prestigious, but that's okay. I enjoyed it anyway.

Is the application fee worth it?
