I know WashU (WUSTL) has one but the only benefit is you don’t have to take the MCAT you still need to maintain a 3.8+ GPA and if you can do that then you’d prob get into wherever you want anyways.

OP - Northwestern has HPME and the early assurance program that you mention. The difference between the two is that in HPME you are interviewed by and accepted into the med school right after high school, whereas the early assurance program that you cite is meant to give a very small number of undergrads assured admission to the Feinberg School of at the end of their sophomore year.

St. Louis University has a similar program, as does Wake Forest University. I am sure that there are others, but don’t know offhand which schools offer them.

The Wake Forest program is open to students from colleges other than Wake, however they emphasize that the undergrad must be “top” and are apparently a bit anal about it.

^ haha similar to mout sinai’s. but that’s understandable. you’re asking for early admittance to med school. they want to know that you did well in HS so in addition to those 2 years’ worth of work you’re showing, they know that your previous 4 were solid, too

A solid performance in high school doesn’t always result in attending a name brand university. I was going by how on SDN someone apparently was basically told by a rep at Wake they wouldn’t be considered for their program because of their undergrad school.

^ hmm well i was told that that was the reason by someone at mount sinai and by someone at wake. i also ran it by a few other med school admissions people who said it made sense. shrug but then if they had high stats in HS but just didn’t go to an elite school, they would still be competitive applicants if they were doing well. my one example of this is someone i knew who was valedictorian of their HS but then decided to go to CUNY queens because of some family problems. she was accepted to sinai’s program with a 3.9 from there.

and i’m curious: what school did the SDNer go to? i wonder what their cut off for “competitive” schools is
