Early Admission trough Early Decision application

<p>I was wondering if I have a chance at Early Admission trough ED at Science & Arts dep.
Stats:</p>

<p>SAT - 1310 /1600
SAT II: 740 Bio M, will take one more
GPA: 3.9 uw, 4.6 w</p>

<p>APs & College Courses:
AP Com Scie A- 4<br>
AP European- 5<br>
AP Calc AB-5
AP Biology- 5<br>
AP Physics M&K- 5<br>
Microbiology- A
AP W Hist- 5<br>
AP Macroecon-5<br>
Chemistry- A
AP Amer. Hist- 5<br>
AP Gov/Politics -5 </p>

<p>Extracurriculars & Awards:
Vice president of debate team
Special Distinction in Mock UN summit
Third place in state ACM (programming) competition
AP National Scholar</p>

<p>i think you would help your chances quite a bit if you got 50 more points on your SAT... besides that its solid IMHO...</p>

<p>You're confusing terms a little bit, by the way:</p>

<p>Early Admission: Graduating high school a year or two early and entering college.
Early Action: Applying to a college on an early deadline, but do not have to attend if accepted.
Early Decision: Applying to a college on an early deadline, but have to attend if accepted.</p>

<p>No, I am not confusing anything. I want to apply during my junior year, but under the early decision program to better my chances. And the admissions representative told me I could do that. I know I will have to compete with the senior applicants, so I was posting this to see if I have any chance.</p>

<p>Well my high school has no more advanced courses for me to take, and I am being severely limited in number of courses I can take at local university. Basically I am not being challanged and starting to waste time at my high school, which is not a pleasant thing.</p>

<p>If you bump up the SAT and write a great essay, you're not guaranteed but well on your way. Good luck.</p>

<p>I don't think you stand much of a chance of early admission. You don't stand out enough.</p>

<p>How can I stand out sufficiently? I try to stand out by doing everything freshmen and sophmores don't usualy do like get AP National, enrolling in a local university. But other than that I just have no idea how I can stand out, you know?</p>

<p>I think you've got a great shot applying with your cohort. The bar is set obscenely high for early admission.</p>

<p>Hey your thread actually convinced me to sign up for CC and post something for a change. I don't know why bongoboy has such opinions, but you should ignore them.</p>

<p>I was accepted Early Admission, and I was by no means a stellar applicant. At first, I thought you wouldn't have a shot since you spelled "through" incorrectly twice, but I changed my mind as I read further.</p>

<p>You should NOT retake Bio M SAT II. You should, however, study hard for your SAT I's and retake them.</p>

<p>I had 760 M, 620 CR (no kidding), 690 W - 2070/2400 or 1380/1600.
I did not have crazy ec's and only had one AP score of 4.</p>

<p>Don't lose your confidence, and please do not listen to all the dream crushers on cc.</p>
