I saw on social media today that someone received their “Tigertown Bound” letter yesterday. Does anyone know more about how Clemson sends out early acceptance notifications? All their website says is that if you apply by Dec. 1, you will be notified the week of Feb. 15.
i.e. Do you have to apply by a certain time (like August/September) to receive an early decision notification?
Clemson does not have early decision . They begin to send out notifications in November to higher stats students who have received merit , but most of their notifications come out in Feb.
Thanks for your reply! If I applied in early Oct. with very good stats, should I expect a notification in Nov.? Or will they continue to roll notifications until Feb. 15?
They don’t technically have rolling admissions. They have been known to send out some notifications earlier than Feb, but most come out then. My son had provisional acceptance as a Junior based on his stats and was notified in Dec last year.
I think you might get an early notification if you suspect your stats are high enough for merit. If you submitted early October (although I don’t know if they read in order of submission) it seems you would get contacted in early December.
I just received my acceptance today!! (oos) with scholarship. I sent my app in early-September, but I also had provisional acceptance.
Acceptance to Clemson engineering came today. I haven’t opened it but I can peer through the clear little window and it says "We are pleased to tell you that you have been accepted into Clemson General Engineering (UD).
@STEM2017 --she had provisional acceptance back this summer after she sent her ACT scores I believe. They were quite clear after she completed her application that she wouldn’t hear anything until January so this was surprising.
ETA: Package came with a $15,000 per year scholarship. Looks like total tuition and fees is right around $17,000 per year. Is this correct?
Received the envelope today. @carachel2 she was offered the same 15k- if I understand correctly, once they apply to the honors college additional scholarships may be offered. Would love some guidance on that. @nervousnellllly I believe that if you sent your ACT or SAT scores when taking the test & they were over a certain level then provisional acceptance was offered. It was nothing we signed up for.

The majority of people that I have seen are from South Carolina or states in the southeast. If you are not from the region, you have to take into account the fact that postage will likely take longer.
From what I am hearing, it seems like everyone that has gotten accepted is getting the $15,000 OOS scholarship or their top instate scholarship.
When did the accepted submit their applications?
I submitted mine in late august but will not get $15,000 (according to everything that I have read). I expect to get the $10,000 scholarship.
Should I expect my acceptance in this batch or is that kind of a stretch?
