Early application vs early decision?

So, guys, I will be graduating in 2015. Having been confused by many, I was wondering when are the deadlines for ea and ed? Yes, I know for each colleges the dates are different but I am talking about top 20 universities in USA.

Is the deadline for me, nov. 2014 or 2015?

HELP?

I am planning to apply to Berkeley/ harvard/MIT/ Cornell/ pen state/ university of Texas at Austin/ cal tech ( maybe : duke, brown, dartmouth and Princeton)

Someone replyyyyyy? I need help, please…

The MIT/Caltech deadline should be around Oct. 31 2014; Berkeley doesn’t have an early application process so their app (the UC application) is due around Nov. 31 2014.

The Class of 2019+ will already be in college during November 2015; it’s too late to do any applying by that point.

Also, are you confusing Penn State with the University of Pennsylvania? Or is it your safety? It’s a good public university, but given your reach-heavy list I have a feeling you might be talking about the Ivies.

Btw, since you said “early application” instead of early action and your other posts imply you haven’t been able to do your research:

Early Action = you apply early, get results early
Single Choice/Restricted Early Action = you apply early TO ONE SCHOOL (public schools excepted), get results early
Early Decision = you apply early TO ONE SCHOOL (public schools excepted), get results early, and must enroll (financial circumstances permitting; exact obligation may vary)

So… November of 2014? Right? Just a conformation.

Yes. There’s no way you could submit your app in Nov 2015, you’d already be in college.

Not necessarily November. Look up the deadlines because they might be in October. The schedule changes slightly between years.
