its been pretty silent lately…hope to see Harvard, MIT & Stanford post sometime soon, among others.

I have found nothing verifiable for Stanford or Cornell. Should be soon, though, along with the LACs coming out later in December and January (based upon prior my prior threads in years past on this topic.)

Williams +3.2% [College receives 584 ED apps for Class of 2017 ? The Williams Record](<a href=“http://williamsrecord.com/2012/12/05/college-receives-584-ed-apps-for-class-of-2017/]College ”>http://williamsrecord.com/2012/12/05/college-receives-584-ed-apps-for-class-of-2017/ )

interesting observation in this article:
One noticeable trend is the dramatic decrease in ED applications from international students over the past three admissions cycles. There were 59 international ED applicants for the Class of 2017, compared with 75 international ED applicants for the Class of 2016 and 90 international ED applicants for the Class of 2015.

On internationals, here’s a blurb from a 1/12 NYT article, which is a bit counter to the Williams-observed trend:
After years of being relatively flat, the number of undergraduates from other countries studying in the United States has jumped 25 percent over the last four years, hitting 291,000 last year, according to the Institute of International Education. The number from China soared to 57,000 from 10,000.

The change has been more pronounced in the early admissions pool, where top colleges report getting two to four times as many international applications as they did a few years ago.

Stanford should be official soon. They usually release EA app info concurrent with releasing decisions. 12/9 last year. I’d guess Monday or Tuesday.

A NYT summary of early apps stats: [Applicants Continue to Flock to Early Admission Programs - NYTimes.com ](<a href=“http://thechoice.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/20/early-admissions-2013/]Applicants ”>Applicants Continue to Flock to Early Admission Programs - The New York Times )

I will summarize shortly in a subsequent post.

If it wasn’t obvious from the data reported thus far, here’s a quote from that NYT blog:

Cornell received 4,193 ED applications, an increase of 16.5%.
