My package is complete and I have a pres nomination. When should I hear something from USAFA? I think I have a good shot at an early appointment, but it has been a few weeks since my package was completed. Does this mean that I will not be getting one?

Don't read anything into not hearing something yet. Once your package is complete, it will go before the next board. Since they usually hold boards every two weeks, and we don't know exactly when everything was in for yours, there could be some lag time. If you don't hear something by XMas, then I'd contact the ALO and the admissions office to see what's up.

My package is complete and according to my counselor, my file was sent to the Academy Review Board three weeks ago. My file was then sent to the board a second time. This second trip makes me a bit uneasy. I am a principal Congressional nominee, passed my physical (pilot qualified), passed my PAE, ACT of 33, 4.0 GPA, and was recommended by my AOL. Do you have any idea why I would go before the board a second or even a third time? Thanks.

No clue, really. If you're a principal nominee with those numbers then I think you've got great chances. Don't sweat it. Legally, they've got to take you if you're qualified before they take any others nominated by your congressman (assuming you really are his/her PRINCIPAL nominee and were submitted as such)
