Whilst browsing through other threads, I've noticed some people (from class of 2010 I'm assuming) talking about the schools they've been accepted to. Several of them have listed Berkeley, but I was under the assumption that all decisions came out on March 30th. Does Berkeley send out acceptance letters earlier to some people (i.e. Regents, clear-cut Cali residents, etc.)? Just wondering.

Regents & Chancellors scholarship candidates are notified verbally when they arrive at their scholarship interview.

Some Engineering students are given what is essentially a likely letter as well.

Does Berkeley do the engineering "likely" letters too? I thought UCLA only did that.

Do out-of-state students also get interviewed, or do they go through some other kind of process?

i'm pretty sure only ucla sends out those engineering likely letters

for out-of-state students i never heard of anything for interviewing

I got an CS letter from UCLA. Wondering if UCB did the same?
