early chance me for stanford, wharton or harvard!

i'm a sophomore in high school and want to know my chances.. thank you for your help in advance! =] i realize this is an early chance me, because my sat scores and my junior year has not panned out yet.

grades:
-i have about a 4.7 gpa (which means about 3/4 B's in all ap and pre-ap classes total for four years of high school) (by the end of junior year it will be about a 4.8) -- which at my high school (a very very competitive public high school in a big metropolitan city that usually sends several kids to ivies every year) would be about in the top 20-ish people out of about 800
-took world history sat 2, haven't gotten grades back, but i think i did okay!
-taking testmasters, had 1800 for initial, probably will be around 2200 if i study a little this summer for final sat (but you never really know right?)
-all AP classes for all four years

EC's:

writing:
-section editor (as of now) hopefully i can be chief later! of my school newspaper
(kind of mixes with other categories)
-editor-in-chief and founder of a neighborhood newsletter that caters to about 500 people that is dedicated to cultural diversity and racial acceptance
-winner of the princeton prize in race relations for my neighborhood newsletter
-a few writing competitions

piano:
-president and founder of a music club that volunteers by playing concerts for homeless shelters and nursing homes, with all different kinds of music (i play piano)
-multiple city-wide piano competitions (one of largest cities in us, keeping it for anonymity)
-international chopin youth competition finalist and silver medalist
-UIL state/regional piano gold medalist
-church choir pianist

debate:
-member of a team of six people who won $10,000 at a nyc national competition
-state qualifier for a nationally ranked debate team
-several city wide, statewide competitions (usually about 3rd place or 4th place)

volunteer:
-piano group, usually about 4 hours a week
-this summer i'm working at my dad's lab without pay so it's kind of volunteering at a hospital? about 40 hours a week
-volunteer every summer on church mission trips

business:
-online business where i sell stuff imported from other areas so i make profit, make about a couple thousand a year
-next summer if i don't get into TASP i plan on going to work for Kodak in a foreign country for international business experience

I'm already starting on my essays and being a decent writer I hope they can be stellar!

I am also applying for TASP. I dont know about my chances, though!

Okay recommendations (need to work on this next year (junior year)).

Income bracket: $250,000 to - $300,000
Race: Asian

colleges: (number represents choice number)
stanford (1)
upenn - wharton (2)
harvard (3)
stern (4)

bump :)bumpbumpbump

you have an okay shot, but asian won’t help. also, relax a bit! you’re only a sophomore. enjoy high school.

man you are one rich kid…haha. but your stats look good for the most part (except the projected SAT score. Im not saying you cant do it, but people tend to over estimate in projected scores.) Focus on writing skills because those essays make a difference

thank you guys!
bump

It’s hard to chance you without an actual SAT, especially since your prediction seems overconfident (400 point jump is unlikely). Also, what is your UW GPA?

You definitely need more business experience. That’s the #1 thing Wharton and Stanford like to see.

Here’s my best guess, but keep the above in mind:
stanford — reach
upenn - wharton — reach
harvard — high reach
stern — high match

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/733467-chances-hyps-etc-will-chance-back.html

It is way too early to tell, as your junior year and your scores are key.
THat being said, an 1800 would kill you and a 2200 would only make you competitive at the top schools. My guess? You won’t make Standford or Harvard, have a fair shot at Penn and will make Stern.
Good luck!

1800 is definitely low for HWS, but you’re only a sophomore. I don’t even think I started studying for the SAT that early. Business experience will certainly help for Wharton as well.
