Early Chances

I'm a junior and I just wanted some early feedback to help me as I move into 2nd semester.

Race: White
Gender: Male
State: MS (I go to a very small private school in MS with very few EC opportunites)
ACT: 30; 12 on writing (I know this needs to rise, and I'm certain it will. I just thought it would be a good indicator)
Taking SatIIs later this year. Nobody I know has taken these tests, but as it's required for admission, I'll obviously be taking them.
Class rank: 1st by a large margin; I'm taking the most difficult course load, but we only have 4 APs
GPA: 4.00 UW

Activities

-National Honor Society-Vice President (will most assuredly be Pres next year)
-Founding contributor of a literary monthly distributed throughout the community
-Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership(HOBY) Volunteer-working at the local seminar in Jackson this summer as well as the International conference in D.C.
-Historical Society-Founder, Pres
-Charter member of Mississippi State University Community Band
-Helped develop the first Quiz bowl team at my school
-Project Homestead Rep for my school-I help implement food drives, etc.
-Involved in research on Civil War sites in the area
-Golf team
-Conducted a Community Leadership Workshop through HOBY
-paged in state senate
Awards

-Highest Average in every class I've taken so far
-chosen as the ambassador for my school at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership seminar in Jackson
-chosen out of the 300 students in Jackson to attend the World Leadership Conference in D.C. (essay about the experience?)
-First Annual Community Achievement Award
-I have a good chance at NMS (because of the low cut-off for MS)

More to come

I know this is not at all spectacular by any standards, and I realize that much of my stats are left to blind speculation. However, given my MS location and my initiative within the community, do I have a shot? Thanks for your time.

juniors... don't fret about harvard.

I know the whole "wait until later to fret about college" plan. I feel like this way, though, I can get a head start on my worrying! Anybody have any input?

you have solid ECs and a stellar gpa, get nice sats and a higher act and youll have a great shot

Thanks! Anybody else?

bump please

Yeah, you've definitely got a great foundation for Harvard. Your leadership and commnity service are obviously spetacular. I would try doing some research during the second semester. A good project could solidify your chances.

bump please

I think you have a really good chance.

I think you have a really good chance. Be sure to write about something in your essays that makes you unique and helps you stand out.

Any other opinions? I'm going to try for TASP, but from what I can gather, the chances there are pretty minimal.

bump (ten characters)

Anybody want to tell me my chances?
