try to get the scores before you say that you have them, itll be better for other people to try and guess your chances. you seem determined, but unprepared... you should really try to get significant ECs in before admissions time- not just last minute detail to try and make you look distinguished, colleges can see right through that...

I was just looking at my profile and saw this thread.

It’s funny how much has changed but how somethings have happened that I assumed.

Everyone said predicting 2300+ was dumb. I ended up getting 2370 and I have 3 800s on SAT IIs. But I stopped playing basketball and football.

My class schedule changed a little bit but went mostly how I predicted. I did two APs soph year and 5 junior year with 5s on all of them. I went from Alg II –> Calc BC and it was the most fun class I have ever taken.

And the GPA right now is 4.4 since freshman year. And 4.0 UW.

A lot of people suggested that I do ECs earlier rather than later to look good for college but I wasn’t interested in looking good for college, I was just interested in my opportunities.

where do u go now?

I will be applying this year.

I am applying to MIT, UChicago, Princeton, Brown & Columbia as my top schools.

When I get in and get rejected I will be sure to post on the appropriate forums because they have been so helpful for me.

As an update to this thread if anyone cares, I got into MIT Early Action and will probably matriculate. I am also applying to Harvard, Princeton & Stanford.

What I learned is that you really do not need to be planning stuff when you are a soph/frosh. I predicted a lot of things but I didn’t know that I would not play basketball or football past sophomore year and that I would do many other activities.
