Anyone else applying ED II on CC besides me?
I got rejected from my first early decision school, but I was actually pretty happy because I like Colgate so much more. If I had been able to visit it earlier on, I would have applied ED I!

May I know where were you rejected from?..

Brown

hey lifeisastage

YES! i am applying ED2 also yayy.. hopefully we get in! i was just defferred and i keep having breakdowns about waiting it out or not. but its sent in done, decided and i am happy! ugh how long do you think it willl be?

ahh so i called today, and they said 3-4 weeks after everything is in. sorry you were deferred! colgate's the most awesome college anywayyyyy!

i was deferred columbia too.. but i dunno if i want to commit to colgate ed2.. what makes you guys commited to colgate this early?

ahhh i was defferred too! at columbia :( i'm applying ED II though also..i'm soooo nervous though cuase i heard that there are twice the amount of applications this year ED to colgate! soo bad! and three kids at my school didn't get in ED I, who I totally thought could get in(two were deferred and 1 was rejected). and i'm way worried about my stats.. my SATs are 2200 and i have a 3.6. ecs are okay i guess. i play soccer, but idn if i could play at gate...

how about you guys?? and were there other kids in your schools who were rejected with high stats? i'm from nevada.. and i woulda thought it woulda been easier for kids by me to get in because of our location! :

good luck guys. i just got deferred EDI and i called after and found out that there was a 15% increase in the number of EDI apps this year. eek!

well i visited a few weeks ago (but after the ED deadline and after I had applied ED to brown), and i absolutely loved it and wished i had visited earlier. my friend and i stayed with a former schoolmate who goes there now in her dorm on a friday night, and we went to saturdays@colgate in the morning, and i just knew that it's the right place for me. i had always thought brown was until i overnighted AFTER i had already applied ED (i tried to get an earlier date, but they assigned me one like rightttt before the ED deadline, and i like to get things done way ahead of time). it just wasn't a great visit... colgate was just absolutely perfect when i went though. i loveee the kids and the administration. i love that study abroad is strong. the freshmen dorm we stayed in was nice and new. the campus is beautiful, and the surrounding area is really safe, and again, it just felt right. =]

vegaschick 123- we had one get in from our school and one deferred

lifeisastage89.. what were their stats like? and did they have any hooks?

i'm not really sure of their GPAs or standardized test scores, but the one who got in is strong in the maths/sciences, and she's VP of the senior class... the one who got deferred is strong in the humanities, and she has a relation at colgate and does crew

a girl from my school got deferred from colgate too, but i heard that colgate takes geographical residency into account. just curious, what part of the u.s. are you from?

princeton, nj
