Early Decision Acceptance

So I applied to the environmental engineering program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo under early decision and the response is supposed to come out today, December 15th. I haven’t received the response yet; so is it bizarre that they haven’t replied?
The website says the response would be received around December 15th, but looking at other sources, they say that the response from SLO has usually comes earlier. Why haven’t I received their decision??!

I honestly do not know why this happens, so I think you should call them:)

The same thing happened to me, have you heard back yet?

Do any of you have this message on your application page??
“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.” instead of
“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly Early Decision. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.”

Because apparently that means you have been deferred to normal admission though I am not 100% sure. I am in the same boat as all of you :(

i hope not, i have the “Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.” Are you guessing that or do you know someone who did early and had the other message. I did everything on time so i dont see why i wouldnt be in the early decision pool. And do you know if it means that we got deferred or that we messed up on our application

I applied for the parks and rec program at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo under early decision also, have been checking my portal/email/spam folder constantly and yet it still says “Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.” I am just as confused and worried as you guys. im calling the admissions office monday and asking why i havent heard back

If you applied for early decision and you have the following message without the words “early decision”, then that means you have been deferred to regular decision.

“Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.”

My 4th child has just applied to Cal Poly (accepted ED), so we are familiar with the process. Two of his older siblings who applied for Early Decision were deferred, then accepted in February for regular decision. So don’t lose hope. The message on the portal changed from “Thank you for applying to Cal Poly for early decision” to just “Thank you for applying to Cal Poly.” That is how we found out that our child had been deferred to RD.

If they don’t send you the “accepted” email in december then you are automatically deferred to regular decision.
