Per the Common Data Set, was surprised to see Early Decision rate of acceptance is actually LOWER than the overall acceptance rate. At many institutions as many of you know, ED often has acceptance rates far above the overall acceptance rates. don’t think it is an error in the data b/c 2017 data says basically the same thing. Any insight on why TCU has such a low ED acceptance rate? 33% acceptance rate for ED vs. 41% overall acceptance rate. Given those acceptance rates, not sure why anyone would apply ED to TCU.
Its possible students below the average/median are hoping ED gets them better shot to get in…hard to say though…
