early decision and early action-- both??

<p>If my son is applying early decison somewhere, is it typical or allowable for him to also apply to other schools early action? Understood is that the early action school acceptences will become meaningless in the case of his applying early decision which is binding.</p>

<p>I will ask the question to his counselor.. but I would like to be prepared and already know what the deal is.</p>

<p>depends on the school, some schools only let you do one early action. I don't know what that means but we can infer that you can not apply to an early decison school.</p>
