<p>To all the ED I/II applicants out there, let's start a thread! Do introduce yourself and what spur you on to apply to Kenyon?
Ok for me, I am a Malaysian currently studying in Singapore...
and I want to apply to Kenyon because of the friendly student population there.. and the idea of a close-knit community.</p>
<p>I'm not sure if I'm applying ED just yet, but I'll be sure to let you guys know after my overnight next week! </p>
<p>But for now my names Mark. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I'm drawn to Kenyon by its community, campus (recently refurbished science buildings? Right on!), and it's academic programs. Everyone I know that goes there loves it to death, and I absolutely want to love my alma mater. Oh and this isn't a deciding factor for me, but it is within driving distance of Cedar Point and Kings Island (Two amazing amusement parks!). If I go to Kenyon I'll have to get a group together to go to them!</p>

It's just too bad that I cant go and visit the campus as it's thousand miles away from me... Never heard of Cedar Point and Kings Island though.. I didnt know Kenyon is near an island.. haha, thought it's in Ohio, a land-locked state. Do tell me more about that!</p>

<p>I'm also considering ED at Kenyon. Right now the only thing stopping me from doing so is the fact that I'm also considering ED at Williams. So I'm in quite a dilemma with very little time to make up my mind! My academic interests are mathematics, international studies and political science. I also play soccer, and plan on playing in college. I guess because I'm on a Kenyon forum there will be mostly pro-Kenyon comments, but I'd like to hear any opinions on why I should (or shouldn't) apply ED to Kenyon...I'm posting a similar comment on the Williams forum, so if you don't mind, please let me know why I should choose Kenyon over Williams, or visa versa. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say, thanks!</p>

<p>all right, i have never been to williams so i cant tell u why u sud choose keyon OVER williams or vice versa. i am visiting upenn and swarthmore right now, and i can tell u why i like kenyon more...the people. everyone is so friendly and helpful here that when i met some people not as friendly (mind u, not unfriendly, just not friendly) at penn and swatty, it felt odd. kenyon is the first place in the US i have been to, and i have come to expect so much from these people, because they are so cool, that I guess i expect the same from people from the US as well. u will have a great social life if u come to kenyon. and yes, it matters!!!!</p>

<p>nah, i dont think anyone can... you can only apply to 1 ED school! anyway, if you dont think Kenyon is your first choice school or always want to go to a school that is higher ranked, then dont apply ED!! haha, you can always apply RD! Well, i believe the AO will make the admission process as fair as possible! All the best to your application!</p>
<p>I am applying Early Decision. I am applying to several Early Action schools as well. But if I get into Kenyon, and the universe aligns in a way that is good and gracious, here goes Kenyon '10! </p>

u can apply ED I and ED II. the decision for ED I comes out sometime in december. if u dont get in ed I, u can still apply ED II because u dont really have to do anything for it, u just need to apply by the RD deadline (usually) and send along a form that says u want to apply ed II. what u CANT do is apply ED I for two colls or more or ED II for two colls or more. because u have already been rejected ed I, u can apply ed II because the obligation toattend the ed I coll no longer exists...</p>
<p>I'm doing ED 2 to kenyon... and the cedit for my interest goes to chochu... everytime he mentioned about the social life i'd simply go oooooooo and now i'm finally decided for kenyon to meet all the friendly people... thanx chochu ;)</p>
