Early Decision Applicants

Accepted as well! :slight_smile: Congrats everyone!

I have missing requirements :frowning: siiigh.

But congratulations to those of you who made it! So happy for you :D

did you all pass your mid year reports?

Hey girls, is anyone here international? Iā€™m applying RD, and Iā€™m freaking out about my chances of getting in XD

@Piper - I did send them my mid year reports a few days ago but Iā€™m pretty sure they didnā€™t really take those into account. What sort of missing requirements did you have? Did you get deferred? Donā€™t worry about RD rounds, Iā€™m sure youā€™ll get in. You got deferred because of a technicality, not because your app wasnā€™t good enough. So keep your chin up and donā€™t give up hope.

@Guitar500 - Iā€™m an international student! So is SuperXX. Piper is kind of an honorary international although she is technically a US citizen. I donā€™t know about anyone else though.

@ All the new people in this thread - Welcome aboard! The next four years are going to be absolutely amazing and I am so psyched to get to know all of you guys. :)

accepted!!!

unfortunately the world is going to end before we get to experience the awesomeness that is mohoā€¦

Just wrote to mhc, yup it was my mid year report :slight_smile: counselor will hopefully send them by tonight. they told me ill still be considered an ED applicant, and that theyā€™ll contact me when i submit the missing reqs. Whew! Congrats to you all! Iā€™m so glad everyone so far has been accepted :D

@Piper - Thatā€™s amazing news! Iā€™m so happy for you. :slight_smile:

I didnā€™t know mid year reports were required for early decision applicants. In fact, then I emailed them my mid year report, they specifically said that Mid Year reports arenā€™t used to make a decision, just to check your progress. I know that most of the other people in this forum didnā€™t even send their reportsā€¦

Whatever the reason is, I REALLY hope you get in. :D

Hello again girls :slight_smile: I was thinking maybe we should post some of our stats for the future applicants to give them an idea of requirements-- I know this is what I was looking for before being accepted! here are some of mine anywayā€¦

There you are future MHC prospies! <3

Canā€™t wait to meet you all!!!

Thanks MaxRide! :slight_smile: Iā€™m confident enough with my grades, I wonder whatā€™s wrong? I hope my school didnā€™t send the wrong ones! Theyā€™ve given me the wrong grades twice already, I hope it hasnā€™t happened again!

@oliveoil117

Thats a great idea!

SATs: I did not submit them, because I am a terrible test taker. I got an 1830 though.
GPA: 3.6 unweighted, 4.0 weighted
Essay topic: Sort of confusing topic. I basically shared two different encounters with diversity and how they have made me appreciate and love diversity.
Extracurriculars : Too many to list but here are some:
secretary of keyclub, president of civl rights team, nhs, tons of volunteer work. I would just say focus on your passions in highschool. Mine was volunteer work and civil rights, so that is what I did :slight_smile:
Supplement essay: about what made me interested in mount holyoke
Financial Aid: requested, I am an independent student so I need to pay for my own college education :slight_smile:
Class rank: top 20%

HAHAHA Maxride thats exactly what I was thinking about my acceptance! XD also here is a link-- that was irritatingly hard to find-- for the various dorms in Mt Holyoke. I dont know if anyone else saw this but it just makes me more excited :D

Thanks Olive! I wish they would post pictures of the rooms inside the residence halls. I wonder if we get to choose our residence halls?

Iā€™m hoping they post more picture and we get to chose our dorm rooms. I want to live in Safford! :)

Thereā€™s not enough words to describe how I feel! Ahh now Iā€™m stressed over dorm stuff haha and Iā€™ve been inside all the dorms and theyā€™re all nice! Each residence hall has a grand piano an grandfather clock! Bathrooms are nice also but I prefer Safford as well :smiley:
And does anyone know if they awarded merit/leadership awards yet? I got a lot of grantā€¦ But wasnā€™t sure if they do these merit scholarship in the spring with RD? It would be nice if I got a little more $ though :D

I am very excited for this Girls. Safford looks awesome. When are we going to start the housing stuff? not yet I guess. And how do we make the first deposit the 300 dollars did anyone already make it because when i log in to do it it says I have no bills. :P

@superxx
I was wondering that too. I am guessing they would wait until they have seen the early decision II and regular decision applicants, so that everyone has a fair chance.

I know that they do the dorm stuff in June or July and we get notifyed in August about roommates and rooms.
I couldnā€™t make the deposit either so Iā€™m just going to wait until I get the packet in the mail. On ISIS it said the acceptance packet would have an envelope where we can mail in our deposit.
Was anyone awarded merit? I only got grant money and I thought that was odd.
Itsatip95, I agree with you on Safford and it would be nice to get more money. :)
