Early Decision Applicants

Piper - It doesn’t sound crazy. I spend my time imagining waking up and getting breakfast in Wilder, and then going off to take a class with classmates who are just as passionate and interested in the subject as I am. I think of getting to learn french and taking a zumba class. And then I cry on the inside as I contemplate the possibility of rejection.

Was anyone planning on going to a women’s college before you found Mount Holyoke? Or did MHC change your mind like me?

i see we even picked out the dorms we wanted! :)

I never thought of going to a women’s college, but when i saw Mount Holyoke, I was blown away. First time I saw its website, it didn’t matter whether they had men or not, I was already determined to go

Aw this is too cute!! I can’t wait to meet y’all!! This is so exciting! You don’t know how badly I want all of us to recieve the great news in couple of weeks <3 and also just wondering… Where do you guys live? Within the states or Outside??

I live in New York, about 3.5 hours from Mount Holyoke :)

I’m definatly dreaming of being in Mount Holyoke. I dream of sitting in Stafford’s common room reading a good book and going to classes in the awesome science building. Everytime of think of not getting in I want to cry. :frowning:
I live in the States. I’m about five hours away. :)

Mount Holyoke just felt right to me. I’m not sure how to explain it but I couldn’t imagine myself fitting in at any other school.

I’m in Singapore, which is around 10,000 miles away from MHC. That’s a 19-ish hour flight.

Random observance: Have you guys noticed that we have 65+ posts in this ED thread? The previous threads only have 40+. :)

I am from Maine  It is sort of funny. Last year, I got a letter from Sweat Briar College and looked it up online. At first, I would not even consider going to a womens college. Then I started looking up other women’s colleges and found Mount Holyoke and could hardly believe how perfectly it fit me. When I visited this summer, the entire time I could not stop thinking “wow, people actually go to a school like this.” When I was making my list of other possible colleges, I kept googling(if thats a word) “colleges like mount holyoke” haha.

I was born in New York but I now live in the Philippines, i have no idea how long it’ll take me to get there  So lucky to be a US citizen, if i wasn’t I wouldn’t be able to apply to mount holyoke

@Maxride, yeah, noticed it too! We’re all as enthusiastic as enthusiastic can get!

Omg @maxride94 and @pipermaru that’s so farr!!! I live 3 1/2-4 hours away from the school! Lollll and @jocelyn I do the same!! I just can’t imagine not attending mount Holyoke!!! :frowning: ugh. I really can’t wait!!

We are such a diverse group!! That is one of my favorite things about mount Holyoke  it really drew me in.

Just wondering… Does anyone know if mount Holyoke notifys you through email… Or regular mail?? Because I was looking back on previous threads… And some people said by standard mail? Haha just wondering… Because I’m starting to become more and more anxious XP

Itsatip, I heard from a few people that they notify you by email that the descion is online and on your ISIS it will say whether you were accepted or not.

I’m pretty sure decisions will come out online (at least for internationals). A physical admissions packet will be mailed to you as well but that will (obviously) take a few days to arrive.

I was looking at my application summary and I noticed it said that I hadn’t submitted my mid-year report but that it is required to make a decision. I know that mid-year reports should be sent sometime in January (you know, in the middle of the year?) but an irrational part of me is worried. Does everyone else have mid-year report as ‘required but not sent’? Or am I just going insane because of the wait?

My ISIS says the mid year report is required but not sent too. I asked my guidance councilor and he said not to worry, but if you really want to be sure you can call the admissions office. They’ve been very helpful every time I’ve called.

My ISIS says that as well. I talked to my other friends who applied ED in other schools am said that the school sends it later. don’t worry about it but like what hanz11 said you can always call to double check!

Same here. I asked admissions last month if it was ok to have the mid-term report a little late (because it was impossible for it to meet the deadline), and they said that was all right, and to just make sure you submit them as soon as they’re available. :)

Thanks for all the answers! I feel much less stressed now. Speaking of, does anyone see a bullet pointed link to “Financial Aid Online” on the ISIS Applicant Status page? It’s right under the Admission Decision line. Am I just going insane or was that not there before?

I don’t know whether the button was recently added, but I just noticed it last night.

Hey peeps me too I applied ED and I just noticed the Financial aid link not long ago did everyone else get it?
