I was admitted under Penn's early decision program and I noticed that it was a requirement to withdraw all of my applications from other schools that I applied to. I applied fully (everything in including fee) to UC Berkeley and withdrew the application, but to the other schools I just submitted the applications partially (some missing supplement, some missing fee, etc.)...do I have to notify these schools that I am withdrawing my application or is it void because I didn't fully complete the application.

in the time it took you to make this post you could have sent an email to those schools saying “Going to Penn ED. Bye”

i just don’t feel like sifting through all of the colleges, finding the contact emails, and having to deal with all of that crap. but thanks for your input

I don’t feel that going to their websites, clicking “contact us” and then copying and pasting email addresses constitutes a very large workload. You don’t even need to customize the email; just send out one generic email to everyone.

necro is right. his usename is a little wrong but whatever. :)

your life is so easy right now, since you have no college apps going in. also, you are REQUIRED to withdraw any and all applications. Better safe than sorry - if you don’t, Penn can rescind your offer (all the colleges have a contract about this). Also, it will boost your ego to send little “accepted at penn, not going to your tier 2 school bye” emails.
