Early Decision at WashU

WashU check the threads from last Dec for ED...I know for RD people with much higher stats than you were routinely WLed.

for the others, I think you're in at CW, UWisc, and UMCP. UMich match or slight reach, UVa-no and prob no to Wash U.

I just saw nationally ranked tennis. Can you be recruited?

bump.....anyone else?

I am sorry that I don't think you have a good chance because though your sat is better, it is not great and your GPA is too low.

well im gonna apply ED anyway.....but i really wanna know about my chances at the other schools i listed thanks

come on guys...WashU, UVA, UMich, Case Western Reserve, U Wisconsin Madison, UMCP....can u do like a list where u guys tell me if i shud be accepted/rejected thanks

come on guys please comment thanks

bump.....please help

I think that the scores of Oct. and Nov. are key
good luck!

bump..........list guys? for the schools? thanks

bump come on guys

bump........... :-(

come on guys....just list the schools that i said and say if i shud be accepted or rejected.....

bump PLEASE

uMICH=awful chance to no chance, they are grades focused
wisonsin=also verrrry low chance
case western=maybe?! eh, still grades! they count more than SATs
UVA=zero chance if you're out of state, kids in state have to have a 3.8-3.9 1440
UMCP=eh?! possibly, still a bit of a reach,
my advice: be reasonable, you didn't do too well, not that you're a failure but you're aiming too high there are plenty of places that'd be glad to have you with your grades and scores and you'd do really well

lemme take that back, UVA is no chance in or out of state. its just impossible unless you can play tennis and even then....you're not going to get in. pick again.

okay im bored so ill help you out--you have no chance with your current list. im not being mean im being realistic. there is no way. okay so let me give you suggestions:
VATech
JMU
PSU
Purdue
Indiana
WVU
USC

umm thanks for the advice totallysweet but ur really wrong on a lot of ur advice....UMCP im in state and im DEFINATELY in there....thats my safety not a reach do u kno whats like average accepted there? pretty bad compared to me......we have a scattergram at my school with all the GPA and SAT correlation and showing who got in where with what stats......my stats are ABOVE a lot of the ppl who were accepted....that is definately not a reach.....id hafta disagree with u on wisconsin and michigan too....after hearing other ppls comments and e-mailing the admissions counselor i have pretty good shots at Case western, and wisconsin, i have a good change at michigan too....scattergrams show i am way above the avergae for ppl accepted at my school for case and wisconsin....also i am on the verge of acceptance and wait list for michigan......ill agree with u on UVA that there is little hope for me there....but i think that ur other advice is wrong im sry.....i mean looking at the schools u mentioned for me.....they're stats are like 3.0's and like 1100-1200 SAT.....

I wouldn't be TOO confident on Umich. Umich has lower SAT medians than u BUT they value GPA far more than the SAT so u don't have a good chance there. Go to the Umich forum and ask Alexandre he's the expert.Case Western maybe since they give merit money to high SAT scorers.

"you have no chance with your current list. im not being mean im being realistic. there is no way"

im sry but that annoys me a lot......i think ur being really mean by saying that.....i mean if everyone else agrees with totallysweet then i guess im wrong but i dont think that case, wisconsin, umcp, and probly michigan are not out of my reach.....uva and washU are sketchy which is why i started this thread on WashU but i really dont agree with ur totallysweet

UMCP and Wisconsin r not to be worried about. Michigan is a reach but less of a reach tha nUVA and WUSTL
