Early Decision Binding?

Ok, so i know that early decision is binding and you receive, admit, defer, or deny. If your decision is deferred to regular decision, does it become regular decision or is it still binding?

it becomes normal regular decision, i.e. you can apply to other schools RD as well

what if its early decision, they accept u

but u dont go (dont have money)
and then u just dont go to college

"it becomes normal regular decision, i.e. you can apply to other schools RD as well"

so not binding if admitted during regular decision after being deferred early decision, right?

Rob, That's right if the school defers you in the ED round, you are released from the early decision contract. If you are later accepted in the regular round, you may accept or decline their RD offer.

chanman- you can get out of ED for financial reasons.. but there are many down sides to it (read parents board discussions for more detail). so the bottom line is that don't apply ED if money is a problem.
