CHANCE ME! haha

Part Native American? How much? That kinda makes a difference…

I’m only one 1/8, however I have a certificate of blood and can be a member of the tribe

I don’t see how they could reject you.

You look good to me, but a lot of superb candidates were deferred or rejected last year ED. Good luck!

Thanks to rmadden15, rm1234, and Consolation for your predictions. I’m still obsessed with Dartmouth and absolutely terrified about the next week! haha

Get the tribe membership and you’re in, probably

argh I’m unable to get membership at this time, but I did submit a “Heritage Form” that Dartmouth sent me along with a mini-essay about my Native American heritage dating from my great-grandfather to grandfather to my mother. They stated that I didn’t have to be a member, but who knows how it works.

even without the native american part I dont understand how you could be rejected. what I just read was incredible

wow tennisgeek1- your comment definitely made my day. I think “incredible” is definitely a bit of an exaggeration, haha, but I still really appreciate it!

I should have clarified - the tribe membership would make it like, a 99% chance. Even without that, that’s an incredible app. It’s pretty pointless to chance at this point but it looks really, really good…

Well thank you haha- guess I’ll have to find out if your word means anything on Tuesday ;)

though I am curious and I don’t know if or how you would know- but do you know if a certificate of blood has any weight? (just for future reference if and when I’m deferred)

wow you’re very well rounded. you should get in

I don’t know, but I would assume so - one of Dartmouth’s original aims, when founded, was to educate the ‘savage’ Native Americans, something unique among the Ivy League schools. As a result, Native American applicants have a particular edge at Dartmouth in terms of admissions, even compared to other top schools looking for URMs.
