I am curious as to see what the general outlook on my application is on this board.

3.5 GPA, 1250 Composite, 1950 SAT
Honors/APs from an elite public school
Interviewed on campus and attended minority "Preview Weekend"
Fantastic Reccomendation letter
Leadership officer positions on debate, Keyclub, student council, and founder of an economics club
Member of band and choir for two years, and have played a mixture of lacrosse, football, and soccer during my high school years

I suppose if I had any "hooks" it would be that I am an URM, I am not applying for financial aid (trinity from what I understand is not "need-blind"), and I applying early decision.

From online sources I have read and to be honest been shocked at the apparently 82% acceptance rate for those applying early decision.

I understand that nothing is definate, however I would certaintly appreciate any and all insights on my chances of being admitted under early decision.

I would be very surprised if you were not admitted. Your stats are adequate–the SAT score is within the range, and 3.5 from a very good school while pursuing a very active athletic program will be favorably viewed. Do you plan to continue any of those sports and if so, did you tell Trinity? Since you took the trouble to interview, admissions will note that you are making a well-informed choice. And you say you are a URM, so that will help as well. All in all, I do not see any reason why Trinity would decline your Early Decision application. BTW, I found 2009 data that indicated either a 69% or 73% ED admit rate. Good luck!
