@kathrynstern Thinking about Vandy, Northwestern, Rice, Drexel. How about u?

@TheOneWhoCould scan it and send it to admissions! along with an explanation…@PhoenixLight SUNY Albany, Bucknell, Villanova, BU

If your chances at Colgate are slim, I would think that it’d be even harder to get into Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Rice

I applied ED 1. Senior from South Florida. What day is acceptance sent out, and is it through the mail or electronic?

Hey everyone! @PhoenixLight I know what you mean, my chances are pretty slim too. Best of luck to everyone!

Hey! what are everyones stats looking like?

Has anyone else read rumors that only acceptances are sent by mail, while anything else is through email?

@bingow I read the exact same thing on threads from past years.

Im pretty sure that everything is sent by mail but I am not positive. You can always call the admissions office to find out

Do they always send the decisions out on December 13th? Or was last year special because it was Friday the 13th IE Colgate Day

I think they mail them out Friday the 12th, don’t quote me on that though, but since mail can be slow we may not get it until the 13th or later. I remember seeing/hearing that the emails for denials/deferrals were mainly sent to foreign applicants I think, and that domestic applicants get something in the mail regardless of the decision. Best of luck to all!

True true I heard those rumors as well. So we should technically be wishing we don’t get an email

I emailed admissions regarding notification. This was their response: “We are a little vague on our notification date…mid-December. That gives us the ability to not be tied to a specific date, but I am certain that we will hit the mid-December mark. We mail our decisions–no online notification.”

So i would assume that they will have it mailed out on Dec 12th and then you just wait. Also it seems it is only through mail.

Well i guess thats settled! Thanks for sharing, it relieves some of the stress knowing no matter what I will get notified via mail

good this is exciting

are you all nervous/stressed/a bit excited for december 15ish? too bad it’s a monday…bad news could wreck the entire week (or month! 8-| )

If I had to speculate more than we’re already speculating, I’d guess that most of will hear back on the 15th. Decisions sent 12th, in the mail on the 13th, 14th is Sunday, 15th we get the decision.

Looking at when people heard back last year, I’d say people relatively close to Colgate (comfortable driving distance?) will hear back on Saturday, but those a bit farther will likely hear back Monday or Tuesday at latest

Good luck everyone! So they will definitely be shipped by the 14th?

@flamteb I can’t say definitely, but i would say 90% sure.
