@Momofmouse - Oh, good! Phew and congratulations. The tension of not knowing is so horrible! Maybe our girls will find each other next year…

Awesome! I look forward to seeing everyone there. I live in Gwinnett; do you mind sharing what HS your daughter goes to? You can PM me if you’d like.

MomOfMouse, a small number of letters went out Friday instead of Wednesday, but they’re all out now.

Can anyone comment on the procedure for identifying ED 2 applicants of admission? The web site says Feb 1 but we don’t know if that is a put in the mail date, arrival by mail date or a notification date via email.

ED2 decision letters were mailed out (paper mail) on Monday.

Hi Elizabeth,
Can you share stats for accepted ED students. Average SAT’s GPA, etc. My daugher loves oberlin, is into theatre has lots of great experience…but Oberlin will be a stretch for he academically. I think ED her only chance…are the stats any different for this population than regular admission? Many thanks

Thanks! He received his acceptance letter on Wednesday and is very happy.

Divaanne, I don’t have exact stats for accepted ED students available right now. We do typically accept ED applicants at a noticeably higher rate than RG applicants. We will accept some students with slightly lower academic profiles in ED because we know they’re a particularly good match for Oberlin, but I think the overall average numerical stats for accepted EDs are still pretty close to our regular acceptance stats. It is true that, if you’re in love with Oberlin and you’re worried that acceptance is a stretch academically, applying ED will give you the best chance of admission.
