Early Decision/Early Action thread

@hangover2012 I know some people who have applied to Yale and Dartmouth for ED .

@curious365: hmmmm… when did you finish your high school? this year or last year? I don’t think there are a lot of people from St. Xavier’s applying to US this year. just curious… :’)

@yndnepali: hmmm… do you know about their stats? and where are you applying ? Did you apply ED?

@hangover2012: I graduated this August, so that makes me Class of 2012.
I haven’t been in contact with most of my classmates, but yeah, sure there are a lot less SXC people applying to US this year.

Which high school are you from and when did/will you graduate, btw ?

@hangover2012 the one who is applying to Yale has very good academics(all A* ) and he has got 2040(cr650,w650,m760) and one who is applying to dartmouth got good academics and Sat score around the range 1960(dont know component wise). I am not applying for ED wbu?

hey guys, So I ED-ed in Hamilton, a fairly average student (all Bs in A level final exam pure science) with a SAT score of 2070 (720 Maths, 720 Writing, 640 CR) and SAT subject test of 2100 (750 Maths II, 710 Chem, 640 Bio). Say I have a significant involvements in ECAs, leadership positions and community service, whats can be my chances?
Also, the thing I wanted to ask here was about the common app School form section. In the school forms my counselor has uploaded all my results from 9 and 10 to my A level transcript in a single pdf and sent it under School report. there is basically nothing checked under final report, mid year report or optional report. So am i in trouble or what?

involvement*

How competitve is it in Early Decision, for example Jacobs University. Do many people apply in this round?

All schools

@curious365: I graduated last year (Class of 2011). I am from Pokhara.

@yndnepali: I applied ED to Amherst.
@sharifsth: you don’t have to submit final report now. MYR and OR don’t need to be submitted anyways.

Hey guys, what about the SAT II scores? How much did you score?

My SAT II score 2200(Maths:710, Chem:750, Physics:740). Badly messed up with SAT I in oct so giving my final shot in Dec 1. @hangover>> what’s urs SAT II score?

@hangover2012 what are your stats? SAT scores? TOEFL?

hi guys, i guess the one applying ED to Dartmouth is me. Is there anyone who is applying the same? My application is in jeopardy because my SAT subject tests are not out yet (damn the SATs, they SUCK big-time) and the decisions will be out soon, probably in 15 days. Oh yes, about my SAT scores - its 2000 and I think my component scores suck (CR is the worst).

Hello everyone, another Nepalese here…
