hi guys, sorry that I was unable to access the internet for few days. It’s been quite a long time now.
I applied to Amherst and was rejected. (because of SAT scores I guess. I gave in December and should get a good score.)
What about you guys?
@thereisnolimit: I am here in Ktm right now. where did you apply ED?

Okay… I applied ED to colby and was stunned to get DEFERRED… and was busy too… preparing RD apps…

Congrats to those accepted in ED/EA round… you folks must be feeling on the top of the world… Damn!! I envy you guys/gals

Any more EA/ED acceptances?? Congrats for those who got accepted :)

@hangover2012 I also gave the Dec SAT. The results are out today, it’s around 7 p.m Nepali time I guess! Hope I’ll get good scores this time. This is the last chance for us to prove ourselves. Best of luck to you and everybody who gave the Dec SAT. I’m positive that we’ll come out with flying colors.

@scourge566: thanks mate. Wish you all the best too. Where did you apply ED?

Guys, what are you plans for ED II?

@hangover2012 I didn’t apply ED since I started late. The December scores are finally out. I think most of you scored 2000+. I didn’t even touch 2000, cr scores really frustrate me. Just got a 560 cr, 740 m & 630 w, it’s a 1930 as a total. I’ll not apply ED II. What scores did you get?

Again, comes RBS to the list.

Why are you not applying EDII? its an opportunity to get accepted. Chances of acceptance in ED are usually higher than RD. it shows interest in the school, which is super important.
Apply EDII dude.

Make sure everything else in your application is stellar. Make no grammar errors in any portion of common app, and specially not in your essay. I see a lot of writing, CC posts, or essays in my PM, or emails and what not, and I can identify a lot of errors in grammar and what not. It doesn’t leave a good impression.

Write a passionate essay, and show why they should accept you. It’ll increase your chances. Show that you are more than your SAT scores; there’s more to you than those numbers. Work hard, work fast on your essay and make that EDII deadline.

Apply ED II. Good luck.

@sixstringsrocker Yeah, bro…thanks for the suggestions. I’ve decided to apply ED II LAC for sure. The main problem is the essay now…I must write a separate essay for ED II and the time is very very less.

My apologies. I was indeed quick to judge. I just saw the one line, and saw that you had no other posts and thought the post could have been like a few others in the past. There were posts by counseling centers like in Nepal for NZ and what not. Sincere apologies.

Be aware of the fact that Hofstra does not provide need based scholarship to international students, and the average merit based aid they provide is $19 thousands odd dollars of $50,000 COA.
