Hello,
In a lot of discussions on Early Decision, it is said that you can apply early decision once, along with regular admission.
However, can you apply early decision along with (multiple) early action? i.e. ED Wharton and EA Stanford

Yes, but be sure to check the specific policies for the schools in question. Some colleges may only allow students to apply to their early admission program and nowhere else (such as the restrictive EA programs at Yale or Stanford). You can, however, apply to non-restrictive EA programs while applying ED to Penn.

The following thread has some good information as well:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-pennsylvania/548666-early-action-early-decision.html

Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

how about apply 1 ED , 1REA, and several EAs in the same time?

If you get in all of them, you have to go to ED. If ED rej, you have to go to REA. If REA rej, then you go to EAs. you always have something to back up?

is it ok? thanks.

By REA do you mean restrictive early action?

If so, then no, probably not–the reason it’s restrictive is because you can only apply to that one school early. For example, from the Yale [early action FAQ](http://www.yale.edu/admit/freshmen/application/eafaq.html):

And from the [Stanford FAQ](http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/decision_process/restrictive.html):

However, a few exceptions exist, such as applying to rolling decision schools, or schools with early action that notify students after January 1st, etc; check the college website for details.

absent,

How does REA school know I applied other EAs?

If REA reject me, I did not miss chances of other EAs.

thx.

It’s simple. If an REA school finds out that you applied early action to any other school, then oops, you applied under false pretenses. You will be either denied, rescinded, or expelled, depending on just when they find out.

Don’t lie on college applications, even you don’t THINK they’ll catch you. It’s not worth it.

Through your guidance counselor, most likely. Here’s a nice little article: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/04/education/edlife/strategy.html?_r=1
