Early Decision Form on Common App Site?

I have been told I can apply ED electronically, without having to print anything out. How do I do this, and where is the ED form on the common app website?

You go to the specific college in CA. There, it’ll ask if you want to apply ED or RD. Then it opens up the requisite forms for you.

When I go to the My Colleges section of the common app, it doesn’t ask me about ED or RD anywhere. What section should I be looking under?

Does this option appear AFTER I submit my writing supplements?

no. when you add the college, you pick ed or rd. if you oick ed, the form is with the recommendations. you electronically sign, have Gc electronically sign, and send by email to you parent to sign.

you may have the school in as rd. if so, change that.

Found the page! There’s sections that say “Counselor” “Teacher” and “Parent” etc. If the Counselor section has a green check, and the Parent section has a check and says “submitted Parent ED Agreement”, does that mean I’m already good?

yes, it should now let you submit.

make sure under counsellor it says submitted next to ed agreement. good luck!

Thank for the help so far, but do parents and counselors sign different forms? My mom said she signed the ED form and submitted it (as stated on CA) but that there was no section on her form for a counselor to sign. Should I email my counselor another form?

no. each gets an email asking them to do it separately. neither sees the others. If the parent says “submitted” and the gc says “submitted”, you are good!

by gc “submitted”, i mean under the gc box along with transcript, school report, etc. do you see it?

I don’t see a “gc box” anywhere but I do see where it says school report etc. Nothing there is marked as submitted, and it only says that my counselor as been invited. We use naviance, if that makes a difference. Maybe my counselor is sending everything togther?

naviance is different. yes. they may have submitted all there!

ok, I’ll email my counselor to make sure. Thank you so much!!!
