Congratulations to everyone else who got in!

And to those deferred: at least you still have a chance, right? You might just get in.

Congrats to accepted, condolences to rejected, and deferred… THIS IS SUCH AN AWKWARD POSITION.
I do know that this time next year, we’ll all be merry and somewhere amazing. :)

Anyone else who didn’t get so lucky, where are you planning on going now? My second choice is Brandeis University… I know have a feeling in my stomach that I will end up at Penn State, though.

[ /list][ b]Reflection[ /b][ list]
[ *] Strengths: Writing most definitely. Also I’m from Florida, so that probably helps in terms of geographic distributions
[ *] Weaknesses: I’m a white girl. 'Nuff said.
[ *] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Because the admissions office is crazy.
[ *] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I didn’t apply to other schools, but i’m guessing that of the list I previously had, I would have probably gotten in to Skidmore, Pitzer, and Bard.

General Comments: THIS DOES NOT SEEM REAL. It’s all very surreal. I’m feeling over the moon and slightly like my toes don’t quite touch the ground? Anyone else feeling weiiiiird? I really didn’t think that I would get in

Guys, my D got in! We were screaming with joy. PMP, I’m sorry. I encouraged you to start this thread and you really helped many people who agonized through the waiting period, especially me. Your leadership should be noted by the school! Thanks, PMP. I’m confident that you will have good news in either February or late March! To the rest of you, good luck. As you all say, you will all find yourselves in good schools by this time next year. Have faith. Thanks again for your support.

Congrats to your daughter, bswsoccermom!

Wow, eloiseee. Your stuff is very impressive lol. Mine is not as impressive as that. That’s cool that you’re into the sciences and arts, though. I plan on doing a Neuroscience and Behavior and English double major. I can’t believe it either. It hasn’t hit me yet. I feel so lucky.

I feel kind of uncomfortable posting so much about myself, mrscollege, but apparently they saw something in me.

Thank you! I just got into Bard hahahah!

Deferred. Too down to post stats. Congrats to all who got in – wish me luck for the next round. Wesleyan is such an amazing place.

Welcome to Wes those of you that got in! for those that didn’t, I’m sure you’ll end up somewhere great.

In what round of Bard decisions were you accepted?: IDP or EA? or what? Or were you joking? You started this thread, so I am particularly sorry that you were deferred by Wesleyan. Bard is a very acceptable alternative. Congratulations! Still curious if Bard EA decisions are being posted by Bard now.

EA. I just got it while I was crying to my brother about Wes. I guess I’m happy I got in somewhere, but I’m really going to fight for that spot in ED 2. I really want it. Thanks everyone! Again, I really am happy for everyone who got in, I hope to join you. And everyone else will find a great place. :)

i got in!! and my stats aren’t terribly impressive
3.94 gpa weighted, top 20% of class, 2120 SAT, a few high 700’s for SAT2’s…
i just talked to a lot of professors, had a good interview, and played piano for some important wesleyan ppl.

it was a real stretch but I made it and I am ELATED.

Accepted :]

The wait is finally over

Son’s in. Glad I didn’t see all of this until today. It would have made us even more nervous. Did you all find posting here helpful or did reading it cause more anxiety? You’ll all land somewhere, be happy and excell.

I was accepted too, and it’s such a relief. Wesleyan’s been my first choice since my freshman year–and it’s great not to have to send in any more apps now!

Leading up to last Friday, I was so unsure of whether I’d get in. I kept weighting my merits (IB diploma student, 2200 SAT, pretty good SAT IIs, respectable personality traits, NMS semifinalist) versus my setbacks (no work experience, rather sparse on the community service, a relatively low GPA–3.75 weighted–unoriginal background). It’s the biggest pat on the back I’ve ever gotten.

Is anyone else feeling the same? How excited are you other acceptees?

And for those of you who didn’t get in, don’t worry about it! That just means Wesleyan wasn’t your match, and there’s another great school out there that’s perfect for you. My brother’s first choice was University of Chicago, but he didn’t get in. Instead he attended Oberlin and absolutely loved it.

Hey guys, I’m a student at Wesleyan. Congratulations to those that have been accepted. To those who have been rejected ; don’t be upset one bit. Wesleyan is a great place and I love it here but the students here are definitely overrated. I don’t mean this in an academic sense. Wesleyan is made out to be this superb place where there are only nice people. To be honest, in my opinion the admissions office isn’t doing a good job.A lot of “*******s” are addmited. Another note to the acceptees. Please leave behind your ego back in high school. Wesleyan is full of smart people and no matter which high school you were valedictorian of, classes are hard here and you will be challenged.
