Early Decision II and other stuff

I was wondering what kind of advantage you get applying EDII..if any. Also how is Tufts with giving out aid. I know they don't give merit really, but how generous with aid. Anyone know any statistics for both those questions?

http://admissions.tufts.edu/admstat.htm

or

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/brief/webex/earlydec_brief.php

The US news one is higher and I thought I had heard it was closer to 50%

But is it diff for EDII

Im applying EDII and I have heard the rate is pretty much the same in both cases

I've seen other sources list it as 39% for ED I and ED II. I'm not sure how accurate USNews is. Expect the worse, be thankful for the best.

What about aid?...how is tufts on aid...anyone know what percent get it and what percent of need they meet??

From college board I found this:
Financial Aid Statistics

* Full-time freshman enrollment: 1,269
* Number who applied for need-based aid: 632
* Number who were judged to have need: 491
* Number who were offered aid: 491
* Number who had full need met: 491

 • Average percent of need met: 100%
 • Average financial aid package: $22,304
 • Average need-based loan: $2,911
 • Average need-based scholarship or grant award: $20,049
 • Average non-need based aid: $500
 • Average indebtedness at graduation: $14,683

I know several of my friends who pay a very small sum every year to be here because the financial aid is so good.

Sounds great...except aveerage indebtedness at graduation is 14000..ouch lol

that's actually not that much considering the overall 160k+ price tag. You can also defer loans for quite a long time (5 to 10 years?).
