<p>Can you apply ED I, and ED II to different schools?
I've heard no, but I suppose you can since most ED I results come out before Christmas.</p>
<p>To your question- not sure. It depends on when you get the answer. If you don't get your ED response until Dec. 15 (for a random date), and the ED II application deadline is Dec. 1, it would be highly unethical to apply ED II to any school.</p>
<p>However, if (like Tufts), the ED app. deadline is Jan 1, and you've been rejected or deffered at your ED I school already, I don't see the problem.</p>
<p>I'd call and check, however- you can never be too certain.</p>
<p>Oberlin, Wesleyan, Vassar, Reed, and Swarthmore all have EDII.</p>
<p>The above schools have EDII deadlines in early January, so you can apply EDII if you don't get into your EDI choice. I think this is true of most schools' timelines. Obviously if you've already gotten into a school EDI, or if you don't hear from your EDI school before the EDII deadline, then it would be highly unethical to apply EDII.</p>

<p>Pomona College has EDII. I believe the app is due at the end of December, and you find out in February if you've been admitted.</p>
<p>Know, though, that ED II is not just for people who didn't get into an ED I choice school -- though I am sure many people plan it this way -- it's also for people who took a longer time to decide which might be their far-and-away first-choice school.</p>
