early decision letters

Can anyone tell me how results from the first early decision round are sent out? postal mail? email? Bannerweb? Also, the Smith website says results are released "mid December." Does that literally mean December 15? Thank you!

About a week before ED I results are made available on December 15 you will receive an e-mail with log in instructions. The results will be available on-line late in the day on December 15 (probably by 5-6 p.m.) and when you enter your log-in information you will see a tab for admission decision. When you click on that your admission decision will appear. It will be either admit, defer until regular decision or rejection. If you are admitted your formal acceptance letter and estimated financial aid award will be mailed to you on or about December 15 and should be received a few days later. Financial aid letters are not available on-line.
Good luck.

Thank you!

JoMarch4ever, I LOVE your name! It brought a smile and fond memories to me. Thank you. Good luck with EDI–crossing fingers for you!

Danielle2400,

So it’s a separate log in from the bannerweb account we were given?

As I noted about a week or so before ED I decisions are made on December 15 you will get an e-mail from Smith’s Office of Admission. It will instruct you to go to Smith’s web site and log in through Bannerweb. You will need to enter your User ID# which is a 9 digit number and your PIN. Once you have logged in you go to the tab that says “see your admission decision”. Click on that tab and your admission decision will appear.
If you have not previously logged on to Bannerweb, you will need to create a new pin number to access your admission decision. The e-mail from Smith has a set of detailed instructions. Good luck to ED I applicants.
