Early Decision + Major Affect Admission Chances?

Hello. Sorry, many of you probably have heard these questions billions of times. I was wondering, how much does applying Early Decision at a UC effect my chances of getting in? If I apply Early Decision at UCB and UCLA, would that affect my chances of getting into the colleges and what is the penalty if I get accepted into both colleges and I have to reject one of the colleges? Also, I want to apply to UCB as a business major. Is applying to UCB the same as applying to the UCB's School of Business (Haas). In addition, how much would being a business major effect my chances of getting into UCB rather than just applying as undecided? Thank you for your input, I really appreciate your time.

The UCs don't offer an early decision program. And you don't apply to Berkeley's school of business until you're already enrolled and have taken classes at the university.

there is only one app deadline for the UC's...November 30. Do not be late, and don't wait until the last minute to submit online -- the server frequently crashes on the 30th due to overload.

Admission to Haas is typically Jr year, so to apply direct you would have to be a transfer student. As a Frosh, you would apply to College of Letters and Science, and they don't care what major you put down (unless you put something like astro-physics, and have a SAT math score of 450).

Most people apply to multiple campuses -- the UC app is designed for it, and the other campuses don't care. So rejoice if you get into both; visit and pick the best fit for you.
