A young lady I know was just accepted ED to Wake Forest after about 3 1/2 weeks, fyi.

My daughter’s interview was Oct 13… still no word. Her interviewer told us we’d hear in 1-3 weeks. It’s now been 4+ weeks. They did tell us at the interview that it is okay to have the college counselor call re. the application status. Her counselor did call after two weeks and they told him it could be up to 3 more weeks. So, if that is so, a letter should come this week!..FINALLY!

WHoa, SJTH, you have posted 852 times! Are you a college counselor??

vhtsoccer - I am so glad you posted that about the timing! We are waiting and waiting to hear and getting quite frustrated (especially after seeing some in this thread heard after a few weeks). The admissions officer who did my D’s Skype interview confirmed her application was complete and ready for review over a month ago. I was sure it would be in the mail today but no…

D got her ED acceptance today - whew!! The letter was dated 11/5 and posted marked 11/6 - it took it’s time getting here to Dallas…

Congratulations, Dallasmom and daughter! Now you can enjoy senior year a little more!
Enjoy the moment!

Congratulations Dallasmom and njmom and everyone else who’s been accepted ED (notice there seem to be a lot of “moms” on this thread? My S received his ED notice last week - Now we can ALL enjoy senior year a lot more with the huge pressure/stress off.

My son’s acceptance came in last night’s mail. We are absolutely thrilled. He had sent his application in back in early September. One bit of advice: If you haven’t heard in four weeks (which is how long they told us it would take after they got all the paperwork in), call and ask the status of the application. That’s how we learned that my son’s teacher needed a gentle nudge to get a recommendation in.

I applied for early action near the beginning of November. Does anyone know when they will notify the early ACTION applicants? Has anyone else applied early action and received a notification letter yet?

hopeful12291: Are you on the right thread…are you talking Wake Forest. I don’t think they have Early Action, only Early Decision. If you applied Early Action and it is really Early Decision you better check it out. Maybe I am wrong, but I don’t think there is any EA at Wake.

Wake allowed North and South Carolina students to apply early action, but they did not give a clear notification date.

I applied early action to Wake…I am from North Carolina. Notification is around January 15

early action (NC students) - Dec 15 notification

Apologies… I meant Jan 15 notification for early action NC students.

Thanks, that helps a lot!

How are in-state early action appicants notified – snail mail or email?

Its snail mail for NC-EA.
