Early Decision Notification

colby2015hopeful, congratz!!!
what are your SAT scores and how much financial aid did you get?

Did you mean that you were deferred to regular decision? And SAT scores are clearly not a measure of getting in or not. And financial aid circumstances vary greatly between different people. If it helps, I got in with a 31 composite on ACT and got no financial aid.

i got financial aid, that is all i have to say on that
i had 2000 on my SAT (690m 620cr 690w)

Hey guys! I’ve been reading this forum for a while now, and I felt like I should post and join in on the festivities; I got in ED1 too, and am extremely happy! I’ve seen some other forum pages where accepted members of CC post their stats just so prospective students can get an idea of where they stand, maybe we can help out some ED2 and Reg Decision kids out by doing the same! In any case, congratulations to those who made it in!

anybody anxious about EDI this year? i am practically on colby’s website 20% of my time.

SAME … my guidance counselor talked with someone at admissions today who said they hope to postmark decisions by the 15th and post decisions online on the 16th i think at 5pm. i dont know if i can wait that long…

Yes i am so anxious! anyone care to post their stats and where they are from?

so decisions aren’t going to be online until the 16th?? Ahh I thought it’d be the 15th. I seriously can’t wait another day.

Hey,
I just called and admission office said that they will mail the decision letters on or before the 15th and that the decision online will be available 48 hours after the letters are mailed out! so basically… we have to wait till sunday.

is that a joke… thats ridiculous

I called too and got the same answer. What’s confusing me is there are links online that say we will find out on the 15th.

http://www.colby.edu/admissions/apply/pdf/ColbyAppInstr2016.pdf

lol no its not a joke…

it says mailing of admission decisions on or by the 15th… so they mail it on the 15th but depending where you live, it can take some time and thats why i think they put the online decisions 48 hours after… also where do you live

from what ive been reading here and everywhere else I have found info, it sounds like the 48 hours online is true and on or before the 15th is also true. So, all we have to hope is that the decision letters are shipped before the 15th, say tomorrow, or the 14th and then we will receive them the 16th online at the latest. I found that colby has shipped them out early in previous years and in even regular decisions. So lets hope we find out the latest on friday. And has anyone gotten an email from colby other than just the thanks for applying, here is Ur username and password? I got that november 10 and haven’t heard from them ever since.

Same thing happened to me! It sounds like that is normal to not hear from them until we get a decision letter.

Did all of yall apply Early Decision to Colby?! awww yeah!

so I called Colby up again and they confirmed that the decision letters will be mailed tomorrow and the decision will be posted online on friday after 5.

Good luck ED applicants!

Greetings, everyone!

We know you’re all eagerly awaiting your decision letters, and we’ll be mailing them out today. For those of you who would like to check your status online, decisions will be posted tomorrow after 5.

Wishing you all the best from Lunder House!

Colby Admissions,
Was there an increase in ED applicants this year? Also what was the acceptance rate for ED 1?

Thanks,
