Hey so I was reading old threads and it sounds like the notifications for early decision will arrive around the 15th, but the Bowdoin website says Mid-december, and other sites have said by december 31st.

Does anyone have any idea when the notification’s will actually arrive or be sent out??

The Office of Admissions sent letters to the 510 Early Decision I (ED I) applicants on Thursday, the culmination of the ED I process.
The total number of applications was up 3.2 percent from last year’s figure. Out of the ED I pool, 184 students were accepted, 143 were deferred to regular decision, 180 were denied admission, and three applications were incomplete, yielding a total of 510 applications, and an acceptance rate of 36 percent.

i think it depends. compared to the other small liberal art colleges, Bowdoin is significantly higher in regards to diversity. They amdmited 37% of students of color who applied ED + RD last year. In perspective of the ED pool, i dont think we know because we dont know how many students of color applied ED. (How many students of color do ED any small liberal arts anyway.) they coud have accpeted as high as 35 / 36 or as low as 35 / 150.

I RUSHED HOME TODAY IN THE UNLIKELY CHANCE THE LETTER WAS IN MY MAILBOX. it wasnt =[

“students of color” includes all minorities in the United States; all ethnic groups that are not classified as “Caucasians” are considered as “students of color.”
