Early Decision November SAT II scores

So i plan on applying to Cornell School Of Engineering and they require any level Math SAT II. Because i am taking the SAT I in October, I will be taking the IIC in November. I read from Cornell's website that there are chances that my scores will not be looked at by the time they decide whether to accept me or not. Will they automatically reject me if they did not receive my IIC score?

Failure to submit a required item for ED results in being kicked over to regular decision. With one exception, your test will arrive on time to be considered for ED if you designate Cornell in your test application as a college to automatically receive scores upon release, i.e., as one of your free sends. The exception is if your test score release gets held up because something goes wrong with the particular test center such as there is suspicion of cheating at the test center which can result in delaying release of scores for a few weeks beyond when scores are normally released.

Hi drusba. I read on Cornell’s website that in fact November scores may or may NOT be received in time for Early Decision Applications. So what I would like to know is if i do designate Cornell to receive the November score but it isn’t there when they are actually reviewing my app, will they boot me to regular decision?

The “may or may not be received in time” refers to the possible problem that could hold up scores I mentioned above. If you designate Cornell as a school to automatically receive scores then, absent a problem with the test, what will happen is that two days before the scores are released to you on-line, CB will put them in a secured on-line account file that Cornell has with CB and then Cornell will go into that file and download them usually by the day in Nov that they are released to you.

You could sent your admissions person an e-mail and let them know you will be taking the Nov SAT II test. Then, they might schedule your application as one of the last to be reviewed.
