Early Decision? or Regular Decision?

<p>Hi. I'm a high school senior right now.
i'm planning to apply UMCP (in state) for early decision, but I have a question.</p>

<p>Do I get to send my 1st semester senior grade for UMCP early (or prioritized) decision?</p>

<p>I didn't do very well on my junior year (have 3.7 weighted GPA), and I'm getting straight "A"s right now (and planning on to keep on getting "A"s)</p>

<p>Should I do early? or regular?</p>

<p>or does Early look at my 1st semester senior grade?</p>

<p>ED considers no Senior work (unless of course, you’re deferred to RD) in decisions. Should you do ED? Depends on what your 9-11th cumulative GPA is and how it fits in with UMCP’s general admissions stats range. Often, those who desire an extra boost that the 1st Semester Sr year may bring opt to go RD instead and eschew ED.</p>
