<p>I don't think it's much of an indicator of anything. So I have five 800's and I'm ranked first...maybe I'm strong academically, but does this mean I'll get in? It's just a number that doesn't mean much...I'd rather see "accepted" haha.</p>

<p>No, like, the whole deal with an academix index calculator is outdated...it's from a book that was published several years ago and a lot of things have changed since then. Just remember that academic record (transcript) is the most important part of your application (colleges are not shy about sharing this with us.)</p>
