Just a quick Early Decision question: Can I simultaneously apply to schools through their Regular Decision programs while applying to another college Early Decision? I’m fairly certain the answer is yes, but I don’t want to do anything to possibly jeopardize my ability to apply Early Decision.
You can apply but you need to withdraw all applications if you are accepted by the RD school.

You do get to review any financial aid offer from the ED school. If you can afford to attend you must attend. So if you need financial aid ED may not be s good idea.
Remember that you and your family determine whether the place is affordable or not. What an ED school thinks your family can afford might not coincide at all with what your family thinks is affordable.
