Early Decision question!

I really want to go to Cornell and it is definetly my first choice so I am considering applying for early decision. But my family isn't rich and i cannot be sure that i will beable to afford going, and since ED applicants have to go once accepted what should i do???? can I still wthdraw if I can't afford it it?

I’m pretty sure you have 2 weeks to withdraw, but you have to stress that it is purely for financial reasons. Plus, it could screw you up because I’ve heard that other colleges you apply to will be notified that you applied ED to another school and they might reject you just because of that. Basically, if money is a question, you shouldn’t really be applying ED.

That being said, I’m applying ED to NYU even though my family isn’t rich either, and I will likely be in debt for years if I do get in. I guess it’s all relative and depends on how much you want it.

You can withdraw if you can’t afford it. By going ED you lose the ability to compare FA offers.
