Early decision release?

So I know USC does not normally release decisions until the middle of December and this year up to this point it has said the week of December 12, but USC admissions tweeted “11.03.17” on Twitter today. That is all they said. Could this possibly be indicating a release of decisions earlier than normal??

Last year they started to release decisions early. They tend to release small batches of acceptances before the official release date. Those who hear first are usually the very high stats. FYI, they do the same the with the RD date. They start trickling out acceptances as early as February. The higher your stats, the sooner you hear. At least that how it went last year.

It looks like the tweet was deleted? Either way, we will be checking the portal today. Good luck!

Unless they have changed it, you will not find out in your portal. They still do the old-fashion method of snail mail. Your portal will not be updated prior to you receiving a letter. If you get a big envelope, you are in. If they want to defer you to RD, you will get a regular envelope right around December 15th.

Local to USC. Just saw 2 tweets with kids showing off their big YES envelopes, so must have started to roll them out.

The EA decisions were mailed out Friday, November 3!! Judging from social media the local decisions (Columbia area) have hit the mailboxes. We are in the Charlotte NC area so I am hoping my son will be able to tweet #UofSCYes by Monday afternoon… I am soooo going to be stalking my mail carrier …

@SCVOLFAN

Son got his acceptance today in Louisiana! What is the Early Scholarship Notification about? I assume it means he has at least OOS waiver and will find out about more in March?

My S18 got his big YES envelope today too. OOS in NC.

OOS DS received his yes letter with in state tuition, for a value of at least $82,000 over four years. I think he will get the Cooper based on his stats

Out of State, 33 ACT 4.7 weighted.

haven’t heard anything in Texas either. just more emails, letters and phone calls about applying for Honors College

@TexasStudent2018 Same! I am hoping that tomorrow will be the day. My stats are very similar to those who have begun to receive answers so we shall see!
