<p>Haha, yea, I blame everything on them...if somebody else got my letter I'll never know will I? I mean...how long should I wait before I call the office? Actually, before I do anything I'll find out if the other kid from my school got his decision yet.</p>

<p>Subjective:</p>
<pre><code>* Essays: I didn't read, but she wrote about pictionary with a passion (went 300 words over the limit)
* Teacher Recs: Again, didn't read (neither did she, but at least one was ... highly stupendous - teacher had her for three years, last year she was one of three students, and he's coach of her major ec..)
* Counselor Rec: Didn't read it, but the councellor was estatic about her.
* Hook (if any):
</code></pre>
<p>Location/Person:</p>
<pre><code>* State or Country: PA... 25 minutes away from campus
* School Type: public
* Ethnicity: white
* Gender: female
</code></pre>

So she's a varsity athlete for 3 years (volleyball), theatre, nhs, community service through the roof, blah,blah, i can't remember it all.. and then there's science olympiad.. she's part of the reigning national champion school, as well as placing first at an event at nat. last year.. and she's captain... ppl like that need to be crowded into a small room so that ppl like me can get into college...
General Comments:we were sooo not surprised</p>
<p>I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!
Congratulations to everyone who got in; I can't wait to meet all of you next year!!!</p>
<p>SAT: 800CR, 800W, 780M
SATII: 770 U.S. History, 710 Math
GPA: About 4.4 I think
Class Rank: Top 10% (my school doesn't rank beyond that)</p>
<p>Essays: I think my common app essay was excellent. I was a little less pleased with my Why Swat essay but I don't think it was bad at all.
Recs: I think both of my teacher recs and my GC rec should have been excellent. I especially think I got a great rec from my history teacher from junior year (I am considering majoring in history in college, among other things).
Interview: I think it went pretty well. I don't think it was the absolute strongest part of my app.
ECs: I'm the editor-in-chief of my school's newspaper, president of the speech and debate team, I do a lot of political activism (which I think I want to focus on more at Swat, I've heard it's a very politically active campus, can anyone who's there now comment on this?) I do a bunch of other stuff too that I don't really feel like listing right now. (In particular I've done a good amount of community service work, which is something I feel strongly about.)</p>
<p>Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male</p>
<p>BTW, I go to a public high school in Bergen County, New Jersey.</p>
<p>I'm so excited about attending Swat next year!!!!! I can't wait to meet all of you; you all sound like really intelligent, impressive, interesting, and fun people! Look forward to seeing all of you this coming fall at Swat!</p>
<p>Whoa! More Bergen County! I think that's four of us now. We should meet up some time to while away the long months between now and August 2006. I bet there are lots more Tri-State area people, too.
What kind of activism are you, er, active in?</p>
<p>I can't tell you how excited and yet anxious this makes me feel for my ED II application =) </p>
<p>'Grats to all of you!</p>
<p>Great to see Bergen county being represented yet again.</p>
<p>-class of '09, from Bergen ;)</p>
<p>Well the other kid in my school got deferred...but that means he heard, and I didn't. WHY. Should I call them tomorrow?</p>
<p>Is Bergan County a very highly-regarded district in NJ? I have a friend with the last name Bergan.
I am in the tri-state area and am also 25 minutes away in Plymouth Meeting, PA - Colonial School District. Where is you friend from, chemaddict17??</p>
