Early Decision Thread - Fall 2015

The tcnj admissions Twitter posted a picture of acceptance letters for ed1 this morning. Assuming they were sent out today we should hear Friday or Saturday!

Does anyone see anything different when they click “accept admission” in PAWS?

My PAWS is not updated. Good luck everyone!!!

Got my letter in the mail this morning! TCNJ class of 2020! Couldn’t be more excited

Deferred

My son was also deferred:( Does anyone have any statistics from previous years about what kind of chance you have if you are deferred?

I’d like to know that as well. The upside is that we have an opportunity to keep trying…

Googling around it seems that anywhere from 25-40% are accepted after deferrment…a lot probably has to do with open spots for certain majors.

Thanks for the info…glad you were able to find some stats…I also tried googling and couldn’t find anything! Like you said, at least we are still in the running:)

Accepted with a Merit Scholarship! Beyond happy right now

Deferred

@jess029 - congrats! Can I ask what your general stats are, plus how much the sholarship is for?

@jess029 Congratulations!!

Thanks!
1220 2 part sat
28 act (if you think your sat scores aren’t as high as you want them to be I highly recommend taking the acts)
Ap/honors classes since freshman year
3.6 gpa
Top 10% of my class
Cheer captain & about 8 extra-curriculars
About 70 hours community service
Not sure if this helped or not but two of my recommendation letters were from TCNJ alum
The scholarship was for $2,000 a year but once you get a merit scholarship you can apply for more financial aid scholarships through TCNJ.
Best of luck!

Thank you! You too!

Are anyone’s PAWS accounts updated? Trying to pay the deposit online.

My daughter got her acceptance in the mail on Saturday, but just checked PAWS and its not showing the acceptance yet.

@ekdad212 Congrats! Mine is not showing the acceptance yet either, good to know I’m not alone.

Mine is updated!

I cant’ find the deferral letter…when will they give a decision…in March? Is it enough time to submit a FASFA to them and have numbers back before May 1 deadline?
