Rank: Top Half..yeah I know.. terrible.......
ECs: Pretty good, some awards and leadership roles
Recs: I guess they will be aboe average at least..

Type: International, currently attending a prestigious international school
Region: Overrepresented country in east asia

<p>Ooh this is a bit of a challenge but I’m up for it.</p>

<p>Rank isn’t the greatest, but GPA and SAT IIs are. I would prefer to see your ECs but I’ll take your word that they are pretty good. Double legacy helps you, and so does ED, but if you are applying for aid as an international your chances go down a little bit. Here are my thoughts:</p>

<p>Without applying for aid - 30%
With Applying for aid - 15%
Overall it will depend on your essays and whether or not you apply for aid, but I don’t think that your class rank totally kills you.</p>

and double legacy? maaad good</p>

<p>but the only weakness, i guess, is your rank
and if im not mistaken, northwestern places much emphasis on class rank?
i guess your gpa is holding you back a little</p>

<p>What kind of a school bases rank on unweighted GPA, and what kind of school will a 91 only earn a top half rank?</p>

<p>It sounds like your school is really screwing you over with its inflation/ridiculous ranking system. But your superb scores and your double legacy status certainly make a good case. I’ll say 60%; chances go up to 90% (virtually definite acceptance) if the adcoms at NWU make the conclusion that your school’s class rank system is meaningless. Without that rank you really would be a practical shoo-in.</p>

<p>If your rank is low because your school is so competitive, I’d say you’re almost guaranteed admission. If, as monstor344 said a 91 is only tophalf at your school because of inflation, I’d say Northwestern is a low reach.</p>
