Early Decision - UPenn vs. Barnard College?

I've narrowed down Barnard and UPenn to be my top two schools. The problem is that I am dead set on applying Early Decision to one of them, but I cannot decide which one. For a long time I was set on applying to Barnard ED because, though it is an extremely selective school, I would have a larger possibility of getting in than at UPenn. But, in recent weeks, I've fallen in love with Penn all over again. My stats are great but not perfect, and I have stellar extracurriculars, leadership, and writing skills. Ultimately, the question remains- apply ED to Barnard where I have a higher chance of getting accepted and will pretty much be happy, or apply to UPenn ED where I have a higher risk of rejection, but if accepted will be 100% pleased, happy, and and excited for the future. Does the possibility of an acceptance outweigh the risk of a rejection?

You shouldn’t choose a school just because you have a higher chance of getting accepted. If you know you would be “100% please, happy, and excited for the future” at Penn, apply ED there. If not, and you’re completely unsure where to apply ED, apply RD to both-simple.
